If you are excited about the idea of developing your acting , stage craft and ensemble work then JUTE Theatre School will provide you with the development of your creative capacity and deepen your understanding of acting as a professional practice. You will need a sense of play, imagination, intelligence and a passion for theatre. Prior experience is desirable but not essential. We do expect a disciplined commitment to the training however.

Stage training for voice, movement and approach to text is carefully crafted for age appropriate readiness and the syllabus takes care to build a skill based holistic performer with a strong foundation in theatre.
All groups are a maximum of 10 students.
Our maiden class groups consist of :
- 5-11yr olds -GOBO and PARCAN TRIBE (Saturdays 1.40pm – 2.30pm)
- 12-17yr olds – ROSTRUM TRIBE (Saturdays 11.00am – 11.50am)
- 18+ yr olds – THE ENSEMBLE (Saturdays 12.00pm – 1.30pm)
Classes are 50 min in duration except for students 18+, classes will be 1.5hrs and will be held in our new rehearsal space at The Pier , Pier Point Rd. Cairns.
What does it cost? The introductory fee for the terms this year is $165 for 8 weeks. (Please contact the office if you have any queries)
