Coronavirus (COVID-19)

To our valued customers – we are OPEN for business!

The Pier remains open and here to serve our community, however individual store and restaurant trading times may vary and change.

Our first priority is for the health and safety of our customers, business owners and their staff. Therefore, if you are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms or have been required by the Government to self- isolate, you should not attend our stores and instead shop at the Pier online. Please visit our shopping and restaurant directories for more information regarding individual outlet services.

Community personal hygiene focus

To minimise the spread of COVID-19 we recommend that all customers regularly consult the Government website www.health.gov.au, and Help STOP the Spread.

  • Social distancing when visiting the Pier shops and restaurants include keeping a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people whenever possible and minimising physical contact such as shaking hands.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet.
  • Cover your cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
  • Customers who are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms or who have been required by the Government to self- isolate should not attend our stores.

Actions we have takenĀ

Since January, we have monitored the evolving COVID-19 situation very closely. Appropriate measures were immediately implemented to ensure the health and safety of visitors to our Centre in accordance with advice from authorities including the World Health Organisation (WHO). Some of these measures include:

  • Within the centre we introduced an increased cleaning schedule which includes regular sanitisation of the main touchpoints throughout the centre. Areas such as the seating spaces, handrails, lift buttons, toilets, taps, door handles, pay station machine and so on are all regularly wiped down and sanitized throughout the day.
  • Installation of hand sanitisers at entrances
  • All upcoming community events have been postponed until a later date.
  • Information posters have been installed around the centre to support #stopthespread

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, The Pier continues to monitor the situation and put the appropriate measures in place to help protect the wellbeing of our customers and business owners.
