Update – Changes to Trading

We are open, but the majority of outlets have temporarily paused trading or changed their operations.

As always, the safety and wellbeing of our tenants, valued customers, suppliers, and community members remain our top priority.

We have been working with our restaurants and retailers to allow them to trade flexibly with the option to close should they choose to make that very difficult decision.

We are very proud of all the businesses that call the Pier home, over 90% of which are owned by Cairns locals, but due to government-mandated advice and restrictions, or for personal health and safety reasons, the majority of Pier outlets have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause trading until it is declared safe to trade again. Our thoughts are with the owners, employees and their families impacted by this decision, during these unprecedented and challenging times. The Pier has served the community for 30 years, and we need to continue to support each other.

Eager to Trade

Our tenants are eager to get back and do what they do best, which is to offer personalised customer service alongside a product that is second to none. Currently, some outlets are able to offer takeaway food and beverages, whilst some retailers are able to trade on-line. No doubt in the weeks ahead mandated changes will continue to happen and our tenacious tenants will endeavour to roll with the punches during these unprecedented times, as we all pull through this together.

Keep Up-to-Date

Therefore, the best way to keep up to date with your favourite Pier outlets during the weeks ahead is via their respective website and social media platforms – all of which you can find LINKS to on our Dining, Caf√©s & Bars, Shops & Health, and Business Hub¬†directories. Also, be sure to check-in regularly with the Pier’s Facebook Page as we continue to keep you updated with the latest information about the centre as it unfolds.
