Australia Day Celebrations

Celebrate what’s great about our nation at the Great Australian Bites – Australia Day event at the Pier Shopping Centre.

Cairns Regional Council in partnership with the Queensland Government is hosting a Great Australian Bites event this Australia Day to celebrate the best of what Cairns has to offer at this community event.

When: Sunday 26th January 2020, 10 am – 2 pm

Where: The Pier Shopping Centre – Centre Court

What: Local restaurants from The Pier Shopping Centre in conjunction with Taste Paradise will be selling bite-size tasting plates featuring local ingredients, including Waterbar and Grill, Piato, Coffee Bean Estate, The Backyard, and Tha Fish. There will also be a program of local live performers and a competition run by Hit FM.

Hit FM will be on-site on the day judging the Vegemite fingerpainting competition, there will be prizes, giveaways and free entertainment for the kids.
